OUR BEDROOMS HAVE A BOLD, MODERN SENSE OF LUXURY: ORIGINAL AND INDIVIDUAL. NO TWO ROOMS ARE THE SAME – JUST ONE OF THE THINGS THAT MAKES US DIFFERENT.

Comfortable and uncluttered, our 40 bedrooms are designed to help you relax whether you’re in Newcastle for a relaxing break or for business. Colours are rich, furnishings are sleek, and there’s often a surprise – a window seat, a leafy view, a private terrace. Splashes of silk and velvet add a dash of luxury. Most beds are king-size or super-king-size; the latter convert to twin beds. We have family rooms, too.

Bathrooms are crisp and stylish with plenty of space, plus underfloor heating.

Choose from comfortable classic rooms, generous superiors and deluxes, or more spacious suites. There are two romantic, under-the-eaves, extra-large suites, too.

Accessibility

We kindly ask anyone who wishes to join us to stay, dine or attend an event to inform us in advance of any special needs that they may wish us to arrange to meet their personal requirements.

We have disabled parking bays in the car park signed in contrasting colours to allow easy recognition.  Concierges are also available to give additional assistance with any luggage.  All ground floor public areas including the Restaurant, Bar, Lounge and Great Hall are accessible to wheelchair users.  The Conference and Events rooms on the lower ground floor are accessible by lift.  There is a disabled toilet on the lower ground and ground floor in the main building, and a lift to access bedroom accommodation on the upper floors.  All doorways and openings are also wheelchair friendly.

Bedroom 37 is a disabled access Junior Suite with a fully accessible wet room and other disabled facilities.  The bedroom door opens automatically when the fire alarm sounds.

We can also cater for dietary requirements if visiting the Restaurant or a special Event.

All the staff are well trained to assist guests with visual, hearing and walking disabilities.

On arrival we were able to park outside reception, disabled passes do come in handy, we were offered help with bags and the receptionist gave us disabled room with fast and easy checkin. The disabled room was very spacious and the bathroom had clearly been set up accordingly. It was a wet room. The bathroom was huge and there were rails in all the right places, the doors were wide. If you are disabled then ask for the room no. 37. You will enjoy it.
